Pickleball Sports Associate

Position Summary:

The YMCA is seeking an energetic and passionate Sports Associate to lead and support our pickleball programs. This position is responsible for organizing, promoting, and overseeing pickleball activities, ensuring a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for participants of all ages and skill levels.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise pickleball games, leagues, clinics, and events for children to adults
  
  

• Provide instruction and guidance to new participants, helping develop skills and knowledge of the sport through lessons/clinics, etc
  
  

• Ensure safety standards and YMCA policies are followed on the court.
  
  

• Build relationships with members and foster a welcoming community.
  
  

• Assist in the promotion and growth of the pickleball program.
  
  

• Maintain equipment and report any needed repairs or replacements.
  
  

• Support the YMCA’s mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience playing, teaching, or organizing pickleball

• For instructing, they must have a reputable certification.
  
  

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

• Ability to work evenings and weekends on a part-time basis
  
  

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
